The electric SUV battle in Nepal has taken an interesting turn. Paramount Motors launched the Wuling Eksion EV at Rs 57.99 lakh during the NAIMA Expo 2026, while GO Auto recently introduced the India-made MG Hector Tomahawk EV Excite at the same introductory price for its first 50 customers on October 10.
The Hector Tomahawk EV, however, carries a regular price of Rs 61.99 lakh, putting two differently badged versions of essentially the same electric SUV in direct competition.
But the story goes beyond matching price tags. MG Motor, under GO Auto, has regularly published spare-parts prices for its vehicles.
Now, Paramount Motors has followed suit, releasing the spare-parts price list for the Wuling Eksion EV. With both companies making these prices public, buyers have another way to compare the two offerings beyond their badges and showroom prices.
Same EV, Different Badges
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is the MG-badged version of the Wuling Eksion EV. Both share a 69.2 kWh battery pack, a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW (201 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, and a 2,810 mm wheelbase.
Their published range figures differ, with the Eksion EV claiming up to 530 km under the CLTC cycle or 440 km under WLTP, while the Tomahawk EV quotes 517 km under India's MIDC test procedure. Since these figures use different testing standards, they are not directly comparable.
While the two share the same underlying powertrain, their equipment lists tell a different story. The Wuling Eksion EV appears to have the edge in driver assistance and convenience, listing adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection, a 360-degree camera with transparent-chassis display, ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV Excite Variant counters with a 12.8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity and powered front seats, but its supplied specification sheet does not list the same extensive ADAS package.
With the same introductory price, buyers have another factor to consider: what happens when a component needs replacing?
What Do the Spare Parts Cost?
The published price lists show that neither vehicle is consistently cheaper across all comparable components. The differences are particularly noticeable in some body and mechanical parts.

The headlamps, for example, are listed at Rs 61,560 for the MG and Rs 40,000 for the Wuling. The front windshield tells the opposite story, costing Rs 21,257 for the MG and Rs 39,800 for the Eksion EV.
The Wuling's front shock absorbers are listed at Rs 12,000, compared with Rs 16,111 for the MG. Its radiator assembly costs Rs 17,000 against Rs 24,240 for the Tomahawk EV. However, the Eksion EV's front brake pads are priced at Rs 24,000, higher than the MG's Rs 22,653.
These differences make for an interesting comparison, but they do not establish which vehicle is cheaper to maintain overall. Parts availability, labour charges, taxes and the exact specifications of replacement components can all affect the final repair bill.
A Welcome Move for EV Buyers
For many buyers, the cost of replacing a headlamp, windshield or bumper becomes a concern only after an accident. Publishing spare-parts prices gives prospective customers a starting point to assess ownership costs and ask more informed questions before buying.
Credit is due to GO Auto for making spare-parts pricing publicly available, and to Paramount Motors for following suit with the Eksion EV. However, transparency goes beyond publishing a price list.
Buyers also need to know whether parts are readily available, whether the prices include applicable taxes and what additional charges may apply during repairs.
With both vehicles carrying a Rs 57.99 lakh introductory price, the competition is unusual. The MG's offer applies to its first 50 customers, after which the regular price rises to Rs 61.99 lakh. The Wuling Eksion EV, meanwhile, is priced at Rs 57.99 lakh.
Ultimately, the battle between these two EVs may come down to more than badges and features. Transparent pricing, parts availability and dependable after-sales support could be just as important as range or equipment.
For now, Paramount's move gives GO Auto's transparency initiative some competition. And for buyers, two versions of essentially the same EV now come with two spare-parts price lists to scrutinise.
